Fazer 0 - 9 Seguantí (382947165)

12000 fans braved the pouring rain at Fazer home Arena. István Erdősi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Olav Nielsen and Humphrey Boote. The derby had been the talk of Catalunya all week and fans of both teams could be seen throughout the stadium. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Fazer. Starters: Bala - Vásquez, Chiaverotti, Acuña, Sánchez Aguado - Osorio, 冠朋 (Guanpeng), Beltrán Villalva, Corbella - Tenorio Castilla, Urigarri.

Seguantí had chosen a strategic 3-4-3 formation. Lineup: Freijomil - Scatozza, Bellentani, Raucci - Coscarate, Rubio de Barrio, Argiles, Şaşmaz - Gilbert, Soley, Sinkiewicz.

A badly positioned defensive formation on a free kick after 12 minutes led to Seguantí's A. Sinkiewicz giving the visitors the lead 0 - 1. The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like J. Beltrán Villalva. The Seguantí free kick 29 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of P. Soley, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 0 - 2! After 36 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for H. Şaşmaz who increased Seguantí's lead to 0 - 3. After this, you could see that the players of Seguantí were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Against a lesser team, Seguantí could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 40 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. Seguantí's R. Argiles was shown a yellow card after 41 minutes for slicing down an opponent. In a fantastic display of determination, Fazer's J. Beltrán Villalva forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down. Halftime score was 0 - 3. Seguantí enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 84 percent of possession.

The Seguantí players could smell victory in the air. R. Argiles wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for C. Jimilio after 70 minutes. S. Gilbert wanted to play on, but the Seguantí coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 70 minutes into the game by O. Carbonnel. A. Sinkiewicz's lightning pace was too much for E. Chiaverotti who could only look on as the Seguantí player blasted one home. 0 - 4. After 71 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed E. Bellentani to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 5. 73 minutes into the game, Seguantí were awarded a penalty and A. Sinkiewicz was able to increase the visitors' lead to 0 - 6 rolling the ball in by the right post. That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for A. Sinkiewicz. Content with how the game was proceeding, the Seguantí coach let C. Orozco Martel replace E. Bellentani after 75 minutes. As the captain was no longer on the pitch, J. Rubio de Barrio took over the role of being the Seguantí captain. The visitors added to their lead 77 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Seguantí's A. Sinkiewicz slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 7. After 81 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave C. Jimilio a chance to increase the lead for Seguantí, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 8. With 84 minutes gone, Seguantí had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, G. Scatozza did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. Seguantí increased their lead after 86 minutes when A. Sinkiewicz broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 9, much to the home crowd's dismay. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Seguantí, with 88 percent of the ball.

Fazer's best player was M. Urigarri. G. Bala was a disappointment, however. Seguantí's top performer was clearly P. Soley. H. Şaşmaz turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 9.
