Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 31649 to Lapla Yatiene Arena. Rob Ulfin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Frédéric Kasmi and Philip Barton. RCF used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Many thought J. Kang ought to have been awarded a penalty 8 minutes into the game, as he went down trying to dribble around J. Rippe after a determined run through the middle. I. Muckerwitz gave Bocadillo the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Given a free kick close to the byline, RCF tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let E. Menken slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 1 - 1, 13 minutes into the game. Bocadillo fans held their breath as A. da Ibia scampered down the left side. He successfully avoided all challenges and cracked home the shot for 2 - 1! After 32 minutes, the visitors levelled the scores after C. Bocco made it through the middle and struck home to make it 2 - 2. After 34 minutes, RCF's A. Melojo made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 2 - 3. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, A. Froreich got himself booked. The manager of RCF was not happy. 2 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Bocadillo, with 53 percent of the ball.

The game was close to savage at times, and RCF's A. Froreich received a second yellow card after 51 minutes; his ticket out of the game. A. da Ibia was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Bocadillo's F. Lanza had to come off the bench. Bocadillo had a great opportunity to score following a counterattack after 66 minutes, but B. Liz's shot from the left sailed high over the bar. The RCF players could smell victory in the air. R. Sula wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Moreno after 76 minutes. RCF players heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their wing attacks to the middle instead. 76 minutes into the match, A. Melojo came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. With 80 minutes having been played, Bocadillo scored to make it 3 - 3. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but P. Suárez was marked down as the scorer. 80 minutes into the match, the RCF manager wanted to try a new tactic, and the players loyally obliged. The coach of RCF wanted to try to change things around after 81 minutes, and gave new tactical instructions. Making his way up the middle 82 minutes into the match, E. Cailleau almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert J. Rippe blocked it to keep the score level. Bocadillo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

Bocadillo's top performer was clearly M. Arraiz. E. Gorączko was a disappointment, however. Most important RCF player was A. Kovalchuk. A. Moreno turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 3.
