Locos 2 - 0 Triplete
(382953494)

14-07-2012 14.00
The 28078 fans in attendance at
Loco's Arena were roasting in the hot sun.
Leonardo Tapia was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Paul Bischof-Rothauer and
Felix Simon Allofs.
Locos decided to use a 3-4-3 set up.
Starters: Müllhaupt - Val, Lattapiat, Solana - Bliemer, Barten, Fačko, Zanardo - Anido, Frontín, Jorović.
Triplete had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
They fielded: Noršić - Krško, Bube, Anušić - Estébanez Alonso, Jurado, Pando, Buxeda, Olmo - Barnils, Mar Díaz.
At 7 minutes played,
H. Bliemer came in from the right with the intention of giving Locos the lead, but his rocket of a shot rattled the crossbar.
They were singing the praises of
M. Zanardo 10 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Locos.
It was a hot and sunny day, and several players seemed worn out. Maybe this was why
J. Mar Díaz found an unusual amount of space for his snappy footwork.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
G. Anido squirmed through their central defence after 26 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0.
The players of Locos now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
2 - 0 was the halftime score.
Locos enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 56 percent of possession.
C. Frontín should probably have put his team up another goal after 47 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
Z. Noršić kept the visitors in the game.
With 67 minutes played,
G. Anido could have brought this one home for Locos as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
M. Zanardo didn't pace himself at all, and after a series of daring offensive runs he was too tired to help out in the defensive play.
M. Jorović could have put Locos up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 78 minutes.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Locos, with 56 percent of the ball.
The most dominating Locos player was without a doubt
C. Frontín.
J. Barten was a disappointment, however.
J. Mar Díaz performed admirably for Triplete.
V. Estébanez Alonso on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 2 - 0.
