After 12 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Trompicones was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. After 21 minutes, Artilleros were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. M. Lanhoso did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. 24 minutes into the match, B. Rogers came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. Due to some great work on the right wing Artilleros's M. Altenkamp was able to even the score after 28 minutes to make the score 1 - 1. M. Ernest of Artilleros received a yellow card after 29 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Artilleros had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

50 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Artilleros to take the lead after a good cross from the right found T. Bertil alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. After 58 minutes, Artilleros sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached M. Ernest, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 2 - 1. Trompicones were close to putting the equaliser away after 60 minutes as the opposing defence lost control of the ball to S. Fonte in a scuffle towards the left of the goal, but in the end the ball was cleared over the dead ball line. The home side's M. Altenkamp came close to extending the lead 70 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but A. Arth managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. 73 minutes in, Trompicones's M. Pardo received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. E. Szewko was the unlucky victim and couldn't continue the game, so Artilleros's P. Bjelanović had to come off the bench. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

V. Brumă performed admirably for Artilleros. F. Kugeler was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Trompicones player was without a doubt T. Katsiyiannis. On the other hand, H. Kameter's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 1.
