Dark skies made the crowd of 49330 at
SOKITOS Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off.
Júlio Ramos was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Aldo Ariosto and
Angelino Lello.
A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for SOKITOS.

Móstoles tactics involved an interesting 5-2-3 combination.

Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Móstoles.
G. Raventos caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 7 minutes. This gave SOKITOS the 1 - 0 lead.
SOKITOS's
M. Çeyrek was shown a yellow card after 9 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
A loud groan was heard from the fans of Móstoles, as
A. Soler Turmo left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match.

SOKITOS solidified their lead at the 19 minute mark, as
G. Raventos dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 2 - 0.
C. Frasquet had a fantastic opportunity to put SOKITOS up another goal 24 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.

M. Çeyrek had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 34 minutes having been played.

A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in SOKITOS's
M. Søe increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
The referee showed Móstoles's
G. Sensat the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
C. Frasquet increased the lead for SOKITOS to 4 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it!
The players of SOKITOS now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
J. Preiskelis of SOKITOS was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
The teams went for the halftime break at 4 - 0.
SOKITOS claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 84 percent.
After 49 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
J. Páramo might have resulted in another goal for SOKITOS. However,
J. Puurttinen made a spectacular save.
With the clock showing 50 minutes played, a great pass from the defensive line of Móstoles resulted in a counterattack that was smoothly brought under control by
J. Mantilla in the centre of the opposition's penalty area, but his finish went high.
R. Zorzetto of SOKITOS received a yellow card after 58 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
64 minutes in, SOKITOS's
G. Juez received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
Móstoles were forced into a substitution as
J. Puurttinen couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
P. Cubero to come in off the bench.
G. Juez unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide.

M. Narváez surprised everyone as he managed to intercept a pass intended for the opposing keeper and flip it in, making the score 4 - 1.
With 80 minutes played, SOKITOS put themselves up 5 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to
G. Raventos, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home.
That was his third goal of the match - a hat trick for
G. Raventos.
Móstoles's
M. Narváez got himself booked for a foul.
After 83 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by SOKITOS was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options.
With 84 minutes gone, a long pass from the defence of Móstoles resulted in a counterattack that set
M. Gener free through the middle, but the keeper made a spectacular diving save.
Possession in this half belonged to SOKITOS, who controlled the ball 84 percent of the time.
