29670 spectators arrived at
Stadium Arcadium, where weather conditions were pretty good for football.
Frank Bo Gravesen was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Niall Seger and
Bazyli 'Professor' Siwczyk.
Calamares tactics involved an interesting 5-3-2 combination.
The following players had been chosen: Cartagena - Weinrich, 嘉云 (Jiayun), Scaldaferri, Jørgensen, Paduschek - Bohdan, Katip, Wojtulewicz - Schnell, Reyes.
LazyShadow had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Torzsa - Toftdal, Stábile, Mrguda - Miranda, Van Diest, Valencia, Piltonen, Delacotte - Hatt, Huyghe.
Using their counter-attacking abilities was the strategy of choice for Calamares.
The corner kick from
O. Toftdal was powerfully met by the head of
F. Hatt to make the score 0 - 1.
S. Jørgensen charged down the left and had a wonderful opportunity to score the equaliser for Calamares, but the shot went well wide of the goal.
With 14 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience,
C. Van Diest needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed.
16 minutes into the game a free kick by
O. Toftdal found its way through the home side's poorly assembled defensive formation, making LazyShadow's lead 0 - 2.
After this, you could see that the players of LazyShadow were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
With 17 minutes played,
E. Miranda of LazyShadow fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
E. Reyes did everything he could to get one back for his Calamares, but keeper
V. Torzsa denied him with a spectacular block.
There was concern in the stands when, at the 22 minute mark, LazyShadow's
A. Stábile hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch.
It was 0 - 2 at the break.
LazyShadow claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.
56 minutes into the game,
G. Scaldaferri finished off a Calamares left wing counterattack, making the score 1 - 2.
The referee showed Calamares's
C. Weinrich the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
P. Mrguda of LazyShadow had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game.
N. Mischak came in to finish the match.
Coming in from the right, Calamares had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 82 minutes, but
E. Reyes's attempt to finish was easily stopped.
E. Bohdan made one of his many fine passes from the wing into the middle 86 minutes into the match.
S. Schnell bravely attempted to execute a diving header and the ball was met firmly with his forehead for Calamares. 2 - 2.
Given a free kick in a difficult position after 88 minutes, LazyShadow tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish.
陈. 嘉云 (Jiayun) was first to reach a ball launched long through the center from Calamares's defence 89 minutes into the game. He managed to keep his cool and beat the goalkeeper to make the score 3 - 2.
LazyShadow had most of the ball, with 54 percent of possession.
Calamares's best player was
S. Schnell.
G. Scaldaferri was a disappointment, however.
N. Mischak performed admirably for LazyShadow.
V. Torzsa turned in a dismal performance, however.
The match ends 3 - 2.
