Sahota was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 38 minutes. Halftime score was 1 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Cotillo, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

A review of the gameplan helped oso get back to a solid organisation when the referee blew his whistle again. Cotillo's G. Mazzucato had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 50 minutes having been played. N. Sanjuán was the replacement.
