The boggy pitch disrupted the game, especially for technical players like A. Oriol Gordo. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to L. Lienberger, but the Gades player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 17 minutes, Gades did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, H. Kleijn was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 2 - 0. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Gades's S. Guàrdia increasing the lead to 3 - 0. Confident in their lead, Gades's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. With 37 minutes played, Gades put themselves up 4 - 0 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to L. Lienberger, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. The referee showed Dragonfly's E. Navas the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Gades's J. Rosenberger increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 44 minutes. It was 5 - 0 at the break. Gades had most of the ball, with 88 percent of possession.

It was a bad day for the usually speedy E. Navas. The mud seemed to slow him down. Gades solidified their lead at the 61 minute mark, as H. Kleijn dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 6 - 0. 70 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as S. Sollberger broke through, making the score 7 - 0 for Gades. After 71 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and J. Torruella gave the Gades supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 8 - 0. Gades put themselves up 9 - 0 when J. Rosenberger broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. Possession in this half belonged to Gades, who controlled the ball 90 percent of the time.

Gades's top performer was clearly J. Torruella. On the other hand, L. Lienberger's play was disheartening. Dragonfly's best player was G. Belltall. V. Rivas was a disappointment, however. The match ends 9 - 0.
