Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 25543 at iker stadium today. Sabatino Rudan was the appointed referee. ikers1123 decided to use a 3-4-3 set up. The following players took the field: Pyrgiel - Nikov, Dhaen, Johannesen - Espuny, Capossela, Szwejk, Švaljek - Bertani, Nuño, Irureta.

Sonosmos tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Pias - Schwelmer, Żywiczka, Abellá - Sahlgren, Stoica, Brezec, Blomstrand, Pruneda - Löffler, Zeltzer.

A. Zeltzer would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. K. Kattenberg entered the game for Sonosmos as the match clock showed 1 minutes. A. Capossela of ikers1123 seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by S. Bertani. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in ikers1123's J. Nuño increasing the lead to 2 - 0. Sonosmos certainly deserved a goal after some stunning play down the left, but D. Löffler just wasn't able to finish. The teams went for the halftime break at 2 - 0. ikers1123 claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

Cheers filled the stadium as Ó. Irureta broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 3 - 0 to ikers1123. Sonosmos fought on and, after 56 minutes, N. Sahlgren was able to reduce the deficit to 3 - 1 after some excellent moves on the right side were finished off with an incredibly clever chip. Sonosmos needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 62 minutes I. Stoica made way for T. Lemen. I. Pias became the new Sonosmos captain. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. Ó. Irureta squirmed through their central defence after 63 minutes, increasing the lead to 4 - 1. Confident in their lead, ikers1123's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Ó. Irureta unleashed a swerving effort from the right that the visitors' keeper did well to tip wide. ikers1123 were given a gift! The ref dubiously awarded them a penalty 72 minutes into the match, which was neatly put away by S. Bertani. 5 - 1 for the home side. Ater 73 minutes N. Sahlgren seized on an opportunistic attack from the right, and scored for Sonosmos making it 5 - 2. Neither team were able to dominate possession this half.

ikers1123's best player was Ó. Irureta. E. Švaljek turned in a dismal performance, however. Sonosmos's top performer was clearly N. Sahlgren. On the other hand, K. Kattenberg's play was disheartening. The match ends 5 - 2.
