Indigenas 2 - 3 Huercalense (382973029)

A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 27201 to FC Indigenas stadium. Andreas Grasse was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Nemo van der Linden and Jos Hovenkamp. People from all over Andalucía had joined up for the derby. Indigenas started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Buratin - Diemant, Rial, Wachtelschlag - Arzel, Gozalbo, Gil Negrete, Roth, Freyenschlag - Cachero, Toscana.

Huercalense tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Rougier - Rodrigues, Geysemans, Krisch - Rovira, Fusté, van Ardenne, Król, Bellorini - Loretti, Vara.

The sun seemed to put C. van Ardenne in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. With 10 minutes gone, Huercalense had a free kick in a decent position. Despite this being a great chance for a shot, they tried a cheeky move intended to bypass the defence. However, M. Geysemans did not manage to connect with it cleanly and the ball went out. A well placed corner kick from B. Diemant was followed by R. Cachero's hard but accurate header. The well executed routine resulted in a goal for Indigenas, the score now 1 - 0. S. Roth should probably have put his team up another goal after 18 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by E. Rougier kept the visitors in the game. R. Freyenschlag of Indigenas received a yellow card after 21 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. 23 minutes into the match the visitors levelled the score at 1 - 1 as V. Bellorini struck home from a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the right. There was concern in the stands when, at the 25 minute mark, Huercalense's P. Rovira hit the ground hard, but he refused the attention of the trainer and rejoined his teammates on the pitch. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Indigenas enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 54 percent of possession.

The referee showed Huercalense's C. van Ardenne the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. B. Diemant of Indigenas had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. C. Endueñas came in to finish the match. The heat made it a terrible day for W. Vara, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players. Indigenas had a good opportunity to take the lead as R. Cachero came up the left side, but he struck the ball weakly and it went straight into the arms of E. Rougier. 1 - 2 was the score with 71 minutes played, after O. Fusté cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Huercalense. With the crowd on their feet chanting wildly, some great moves down the right hand side after 77 minutes gave Indigenas a wonderful opportunity to level the score, and R. Cachero stepped up to the challenge. 2 - 2 78 minutes into the game, Q. Rodrigues almost gave the visitors the lead, as he clipped a delicate lob over the keeper, but the ball glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. Huercalense's C. van Ardenne gave the visitors a 2 - 3 lead after 79 minutes with a superb strike from the right. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Indigenas, with 56 percent of the ball.

Indigenas's best player was R. Cachero. C. Rial was a disappointment, however. Huercalense's top performer was clearly C. van Ardenne. On the other hand, E. Rougier's play was disheartening. The match ends 2 - 3.
