Olmos had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. The visiting L. Olmos was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 66 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 0 - 1 was the score. The bench was restless, and with 70 minutes passed Mandryl's coach gave M. Ilasa the opportunity the player had been hoping for. G. Schulte-Hillen reluctantly left the field. The Mandryl coach was desperate to reverse his team's fortunes in the game, and ordered his team to change strategy. The Mandryl players listened closely to their manager, as he gave new tactical instructions for the team. The visitors' F. Villanova took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 75 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Sporting. After 76 minutes, a deliberate handball from Sporting's C. As the game started to slip away for Mandryl, the manager decided to change the tactical approach. With the scoreboard showing that 86 minutes had been played, Sporting nearly put themselves up another goal after V. Roca came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save. Z. Mokotjo remonstrated furiously with the referee after Mandryl had another decision go against them. The referee had no alternative but to show him another yellow card and send him from the pitch. Possession in this half belonged to Sporting, who controlled the ball 54 percent of the time.

E. Castilla performed admirably for Mandryl. G. Gilbert turned in a dismal performance, however. Sporting's best player was M. Canales. W. Vázquez was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 2.
