20183 punters turned up at
Papuchi Arena, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came.
Tore Lundstrand was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Gheorghe Tãnãsescu and
Christophe Rivas.
Papuchi had chosen a strategic 5-2-3 formation.
Starters: Eufrate - Brożek, Tarnogórski, Olmo Villa, Debaisieux, Mlakar - Grosen, Paccottelli - Laguna Guillén, Mindibil, Zaiger.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Piacenza.

P. Laguna Guillén alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
G. Paccottelli from Papuchi a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 19 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
After the game, the most discussed event will probably be the penalty given after 21 minutes that gave the visitors the 0 - 1 lead. Despite the controversy,
K. Vindeløv struck home the penalty, as cool as anything.
Piacenza's

R. Brożek's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper.
With 40 minutes having been played, Papuchi scored to make it 1 - 1. A dribble down the left wing, followed by a shot which took a wicked bounce off a defender resulted in the keeper having no chance. Everyone thought it'd been an own goal, but
R. Mlakar was marked down as the scorer.

B. Debaisieux was shown a yellow card after 41 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
S. Cotoré's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Piacenza, he bravely continued in the match.

F. Zaiger tried to break through in the middle repeatedly, but couldn't get past the visitors' defenders.

73 minutes into the match, Papuchi's
P. Laguna Guillén maneuvered his way around the opposition on the left flank, delighting the crowd with his twists and turns. The effort paid off as the ball found the back of the net, evening the score at 3 - 3.
Having just succeeded in blocking a dangerous counter attack, the defending team was outwitted by the follow-up Papuchi free kick. The routine was expertly executed as the ball was shifted quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other.
P. Laguna Guillén appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. 4 - 3, after 75 minutes.

The most dominating Papuchi player was without a doubt

On the other hand,
K. Tarnogórski's play was disheartening.
Piacenza's best player was
M. Tortosa.
However,
P. Poderoso made a disastrous appearance.
