Superfigu 3 - 1 kajukembo (383008161)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 27965 had shown up at Superfigu Arena for the match. Riccardo Lunazzi was the appointed referee. All of Madrid was shut down for the day, as fans of both clubs came to the derby. Superfigu tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Lineup: Dveilys - Bossman, Stopyra, Appia - Zorrilla, Niederhagen, Goujat, Neagu, Pérez García - Lavena, Abraira.

A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for kajukembo. They fielded: Marcos - Aranbide, Falgàs, Vilagut - Ross, Babaredo, Campero, Estébanez, Ereinuzqueta - Kapus, Urroz.

kajukembo clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. After 4 minutes, H. Abraira came in from the right, feinted, then sped past the off-balance defender to make the score 1 - 0, giving Superfigu the lead. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 26 minutes, A. Babaredo broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. S. Dveilys made a great block, though. S. Urroz came close to levelling the score 32 minutes into the game, as he was set up with a through ball coming in from the left, but his shot hit the post. I. Aranbide made a good effort at breaking through on the right, but the home team's left defence cleared the ball to a corner. P. Stopyra got left behind when kajukembo's S. Urroz made a sudden run forward after 34 minutes, finishing off with a neat strike. 1 - 1! With 34 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as H. Abraira flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. 2 - 1 was the halftime score. Neither team was controlling the possession at this point in the match, with the stats showing a 50:50 split.

After 46 minutes, kajukembo switched A. Marcos with F. Baez, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. Coming through the middle I. Aranbide almost scored the equaliser for kajukembo after 55 minutes, but S. Dveilys made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post. J. Goujat increased Superfigu's lead to 3 - 1 with a penalty spot cannonball. After this, you could see that the players of Superfigu were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. R. Pérez García wanted to play on, but the Superfigu coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 75 minutes into the game by Y. De Mol. The coach of Superfigu was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 75 minutes, Ó. Batalla came on for G. Lavena. Ó. Batalla had a fantastic opportunity to put Superfigu up another goal 82 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar. With 87 minutes played, S. Urroz of kajukembo fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. kajukembo enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 52 percent of possession.

H. Abraira performed admirably for Superfigu. S. Dveilys turned in a dismal performance, however. kajukembo's top performer was clearly J. Kapus. However, F. Baez made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 1.
