It was obvious that LISIADOS were using their pressing skill as their primary tactic. Ordago tried to focus their attacks down the middle. After 12 minutes, Ordago's J. Nokelainen made his way through the middle and nonchalantly placed the ball out of the keeper's reach, putting the visitors up 0 - 1. S. Cerecedo was, after 24 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper P. Simonet made the save. LISIADOS's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 25 minutes gone, but C. Rocton's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. LISIADOS's B. Huber left the field after 38 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was C. Vanquelet. After 42 minutes Ordago nearly put themselves up another goal from a penalty taken by S. Cerecedo, but the keeper made an unbelievable save. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Ordago, with 57 percent of the ball.

The visitors' J. Élie took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 50 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Ordago. LISIADOS supporters cheered as good work down the right got the ball to M. Secăreanu who reduced the visitors' lead after 68 minutes to 1 - 2. LISIADOS had to make a substitution after 69 minutes. A. Vogel limped off the field and was replaced by B. Heltborg. 71 minutes into the game, Y. Auray had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came J. Rantonen. With 76 minutes played, LISIADOS's M. Secăreanu found an opening in the visitors' left side defence, but his shot was handled easily by the keeper. After 77 minutes, Ordago were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. J. Vaquero did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. Possession in this half belonged to Ordago, who controlled the ball 57 percent of the time.

Most important LISIADOS player was N. De Cauwer. On the other hand, J. Rantonen's play was disheartening. The most dominating Ordago player was without a doubt N. Nelissen. K. Holsappel turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
