Clouds darkened the skies at La Catedral as 18198 spectators turned up for the match. Heriberto Canchanya was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Gabriël Camby and Víctor Madera. Possession in this half belonged to BETIS1907, who controlled the ball 55 percent of the time.

58 minutes into the game, J. Lapuente Mínguez came close to levelling the score with a dangerous shot from the centre of the area that went just over the bar. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Ilurieta from Txolopote a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 59 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Unfortunately for BETIS1907, F. Gotanegra was injured when the game became more physical, and he had to leave the field. M. Guini replaced him. The BETIS1907 players could smell victory in the air. J. Uzes wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for A. Gutknecht after 70 minutes. A drive down the left side allowed D. Sevilleja to get in close and score another goal for BETIS1907 after 73 minutes, taking the score to 0 - 2. G. Paz was called on to replace Txolopote's J. Llorca after 75 minutes following a nasty collision. 76 minutes into the game Txolopote broke through on the left wing and F. Navarro managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 2. R. Arobes of BETIS1907 received a yellow card after 79 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. R. Arobes received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 80 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 1 - 3. The BETIS1907 fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. BETIS1907 had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

Txolopote's top performer was clearly S. Corona. G. Paz was a disappointment, however. Most important BETIS1907 player was M. Obeck. Z. Redetzky turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 3.
