Jor7 had a magnificent opportunity after 15 minutes as L. Moran hit the ball hard from the edge of the penalty box. However, the shot went wide. Against a lesser team, Jor7 could very well have succeeded with their smart indirect free kick routine after 24 minutes. A trio of passes took the ball all the way past the defenders, but by then the intended recipient was already blocked off and the keeper could make a leisurely save. The visiting I. Kools was booed thoroughly by the home crowd 25 minutes into the game, after he broke through the middle and scored, resulting in the visitors taking the lead. 1 - 2 was the score. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Málaga had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

With 70 minutes played, Málaga put themselves up 1 - 3 after an attack from the right, caused by a defensive blunder. The scorer was M. Illa. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave S. Vahter from Málaga a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 73 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! After 75 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave S. Vahter a chance to increase the lead for Málaga, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 4. The referee showed Málaga's X. Vicens the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. After 80 minutes, Málaga's C. Cancelli burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 5. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Málaga lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Jor7's L. Moran got himself booked for a foul. Málaga enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 51 percent of possession.

Jor7's top performer was clearly M. Fleuriot. J. Morillo on the other hand, had a terrible day. C. Cancelli performed admirably for Málaga. X. Vicens turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 5.
