Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 15850 to villa Jon Arena. Marius Jaks was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Anders Hjortgren and Harald Haagensen. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Jonfecha. The following players took the field: Tintor - Gaztañaga, Paaske Sørensen, van Sloten - Casas, Revert, Urquijo, Gormaz, Romero Solís - Soto, Rouse.

Quien had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation. Lineup: Pirez - Chiappa, Hrachovický, Castelló - Ramos Alonso, Rangelov, Accogli, Butt, Ramos Cerro - Brunhuber, Lanscha.

Jonfecha were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. Quien tried to focus their attacks down the middle. Quien's I. Rangelov managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 22 minutes. 0 - 1. J. Brunhuber of Quien was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. L. Ramos Alonso was doing a great job on his wing, sending in brilliant passes to his teammates in the middle, but A. Ramos Cerro seemed unable to profit from this excellent service. Quien were determined to attack in the middle, even their wing attacks ended up centrally. 39 minutes into the game, Quien worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. 44 minutes into the match, N. Accogli came through the middle and almost added to his team's lead, but the shot went wide. 0 - 1 was the score after the first half. Quien claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

After 48 minutes Jonfecha tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, J. Romero Solís's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. J. Brunhuber was, after 50 minutes, almost able to extend the visitors' lead with a well placed diving header after the ball had looped into the centre, but the home side's keeper M. Tintor made the save. Jonfecha's P. Casas got himself booked for a foul. Quien's A. Ramos Cerro went down after a savage challenge, but could continue playing after some medical attention. Quien's I. Rangelov showed off his trademark ability to do the unexpected with a tricky pass after 64 minutes. Unfortunately, P. Lanscha was startled by the play and wasn't able to control the finish. The referee showed Quien's A. Ramos Cerro the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. J. Romero Solís neatly controlled the ball after a short corner, and knocked it on to Ó. Gaztañaga who had the whole net open before him, but only managed to hit the post. With 70 minutes played, a quick exchange of passes on the left wing freed J. Brunhuber of Quien to slip through the defence and score another goal for the visitors. That made the score 0 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Quien, with 53 percent of the ball.

M. Rouse performed admirably for Jonfecha. Ó. Gaztañaga turned in a dismal performance, however. Quien's best player was I. Rangelov. A. Hrachovický on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 0 - 2.
