28-07-2012 15.10
It had rained all day, but 23891 hardy fans still made it out to
Coliseum Gaditano.
Aurelian Karczmarzyk was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Edmund Strombach and
Kai Lund.
Cadizmania had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
The following players had been chosen: Campamar - Ergene, Etxenike, Gutiérrez de León - Vijil, Vadillos, Eraso, Filgaira, Martín Gómez - Grégoire, Cajal.
Tururu started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Oprea - Barasarte, Ortiz el Mozo, Garcia - Rel, Lopes Silva, Buxeiro, Ibares, Paredes - Abril, Chomik.
It was an obvious ambition of Tururu to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
F. Gutiérrez de León got himself booked. The manager of Cadizmania was not happy.
Making his way up the middle 17 minutes into the match,
E. Cajal almost managed to squeeze a goal past the visitors' keeper, but the alert
A. Oprea blocked it to keep the score level.
Cadizmania took the lead 32 minutes into the game by 1 - 0, as
P. Eraso elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar.
R. Martín Gómez was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace.
Halftime score was 1 - 0.
Cadizmania had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.
It was a bad day for the usually speedy
H. Garcia. The mud seemed to slow him down.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Cadizmania to 2 - 0 as
F. Gutiérrez de León finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
After this, you could see that the players of Cadizmania were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Tururu's
J. Ibares was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 64 minutes.
J. Perelló was given a chance to change things around.
D. Vadillos wanted to play on, but the Cadizmania coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 65 minutes into the game by
J. Ozores.
The coach of Cadizmania was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 65 minutes,
A. Ilasa came on for
E. Cajal.
Tururu needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 67 minutes
M. Chomik made way for
M. Corono.
75 minutes into the game,
F. Gutiérrez de León had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came
J. Luchoro.
A. Ilasa could have put Cadizmania up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 81 minutes.
Cadizmania's
P. Vijil swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball.
86 minutes in, an amazing pass from the left side resulted in a goal for the visitors, as
A. Ortiz el Mozo anticipated the through ball and scored, reducing the deficit to 2 - 1.
The referee showed Tururu's
C. Rel the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Cadizmania, with 59 percent of the ball.
Cadizmania's best player was
P. Eraso.
Z. Ergene on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Tururu's top performer was clearly
J. Abril.
However,
A. Oprea made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 2 - 1.
