(383023557)

14-07-2012 15.10
Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 14400 at
perez sotelo today.
Jorge Juan Arnalich Fernández was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Beno Dominko and
Juan Antonio Arrieta Martínez.
futbol tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
The following players took the field: Cantone - Paterson, Antipenko, Kegel, Schrier - Nocera, Holletschek, Le Berre, Gabellone - García, Taylor.
Algeciras had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
They fielded: Czabarka - Fissore, Llavanera, Revón - Castagnino, Adler, Blauw, Ferro, Cerón - Nava, Nava.
Algeciras took a creative approach on the field.
futbol took the lead 5 minutes in, as
N. Le Berre broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
futbol's
K. Schrier saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 7 minutes.
A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of futbol to 2 - 0 as
M. Kegel finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle.
At this point, it was obvious that the players of futbol lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in futbol's
A. Gabellone increasing the lead to 3 - 0.
A. Nava of Algeciras received a yellow card after 14 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
The teams went for the halftime break at 3 - 0.
futbol had most of the ball, with 63 percent of possession.
The Algeciras free kick 50 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of
L. Nava, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 3 - 1!
With 72 minutes played, futbol's
S. García almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
J. Taylor should probably have put his team up another goal after 73 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
F. Czabarka kept the visitors in the game.
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave
N. Le Berre from futbol a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 74 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
Given a free kick close to the byline, futbol tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let
T. Paterson slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 4 - 1, 75 minutes into the game.
After 79 minutes, a long pass from Algeciras's
C. Fissore caught the defence out of position.
J. Cerón collected the ball, and with the goal at his mercy calmly rolled the ball just inside the post. 4 - 2.
Things were going to get worse for the visitors.
N. Le Berre squirmed through their central defence after 86 minutes, increasing the lead to 5 - 2.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by futbol, with 61 percent of the ball.
futbol's best player was
J. Taylor.
On the other hand,
E. Cantone's play was disheartening.
A. Nava performed admirably for Algeciras.
However,
C. Fissore made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 5 - 2.
