Balona 1 - 4 CSL
(383035770)

21-07-2012 15.10
Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 15020 to
BALONIUM COLISEUM.
Marino Ravkin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Haimo Schwon and
Vagn Blicher.
A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Balona.
The following players took the field: Duque - Cernigliaro, Bödör, Luginbühl - Tranbom, Trahorsch, Dalliard, Sznaider, Silvado - Kalzanauskas, Yañez.
CSL started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Giménez Guerra - Verdejo, Gaspar, Santxotenea, Rouvoet - Fajdulec, Buenfil, Mönkkönen, Martins - Espar, Yanes.
CSL took a creative approach on the field.
Balona's
F. Sznaider left the field after 14 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
R. Droguett.
Balona were very close to putting themselves one up after 27 minutes as
A. Silvado got through on the left, but failing in concentration, he shot the ball wide.
After 32 minutes,
I. Kalzanauskas sent the corner kick right to
T. Tranbom who headed it sharply past the keeper. 1 - 0!
35 minutes into the match Balona's
T. Tranbom viciously shoved another player from behind while going for a loose ball and was sent off the pitch with a red card.
The visitors were awarded a penalty by the referee 43 minutes into the match, much to the anger of the home crowd.
J. Fajdulec took advantage of the situation and scored to make it 1 - 1.
1 - 1 was the halftime score.
Balona enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.
As the 50 minute mark approached, the CSL coach decided it was time for a substitution.
P. Espar reluctantly made way for
F. Ferrugem on the pitch.
The terraces were silenced after 52 minutes when CSL's
F. Rouvoet put the guests ahead 1 - 2, following an attack on the right.
F. Mönkkönen of CSL was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle.
After 70 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave
J. Fajdulec a chance to increase the lead for CSL, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 1 - 3.
After 71 minutes, CSL's
M. Yanes burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 4.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Balona, with 56 percent of the ball.
Balona's top performer was clearly
G. Dalliard.
M. Cernigliaro turned in a dismal performance, however.
The most dominating CSL player was without a doubt
M. Yanes.
On the other hand,
M. Martins's play was disheartening.
The match ends 1 - 4.
