It had rained all day, but 12500 hardy fans still made it out to
Ultraheroi's Arena.
Massimiliano Carino was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Juho Syrjänen and
Brisko Falkhausen.
Ultraheroi had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Starters: Urrue - Tomac, 平荣 (Pingrong) , Fernández Castrillón - Pabjan, Crnogorac, Arrowsmith, Timgren, Manley - Grzelakowski, Mier y Teherán.
AdriCF started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players had been chosen: Szopa - Napolski, Diamante, Pfennig - Kottari, Camarota, Goron, Tūrmanis, Bammer - Pètre, Carballedo.
It was an obvious ambition of AdriCF to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
The game was characterised by rough play and many physical challenges on the wet field, but
B. Timgren showed great heart and had a good game.
The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to
A. Tomac, but the Ultraheroi player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0!
Ultraheroi's
D. Mier y Teherán had an excellent opportunity after 21 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
R. Pètre made a run for the goal 22 minutes into the game but the home team's left back managed to sort the situation out in the end.
AdriCF's
R. Pètre got himself booked for a foul.
24 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as
W. Grzelakowski broke through, making the score 2 - 0 for Ultraheroi.
Halftime score was 2 - 0.
Ultraheroi claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 57 percent.
The Ultraheroi players could smell victory in the air.
M. Pabjan wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for
F. Lanuza Conesa after 47 minutes.
49 minutes into the game, Ultraheroi seemed a little tentative in their play as their organization fell to
inadequate.
Ultraheroi's
F. Manley increased the lead to 3 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 51 minutes.
After 53 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by
F. Manley might have resulted in another goal for Ultraheroi. However,
M. Szopa made a spectacular save.
57 minutes into the game
R. Pètre could see that the opposing goalie was out of position and tried an unexpected lob that the keeper just barely reached. The rebound went to
O. Carballedo who failed to hit the target.
R. Pètre could've grabbed a goal for AdriCF 62 minutes in when he got a pass from the left putting him free of the home side's defence, but he was unable to take advantage of the situation.
After 72 minutes, Ultraheroi sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
W. Grzelakowski, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 4 - 0.
By now, the players in Ultraheroi felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
Possession in this half belonged to AdriCF, who controlled the ball 52 percent of the time.
Ultraheroi's top performer was clearly
D. Mier y Teherán.
On the other hand,
R. Urrue's play was disheartening.
AdriCF's best player was
E. Camarota.
However,
H. Bammer made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 4 - 0.
