Montes was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 43 minutes. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 1. Oier had most of the ball, with 58 percent of possession.

Oier made a bid to take the lead as a ball coming in on the right hand side left D. de Ramirás completely alone with keeper A. Valsera, who made a spectacular block. Talavera had a magnificent opportunity after 62 minutes as A. Meriana hit the ball hard from the edge of the penalty box. However, the shot went wide. Oier created a good opportunity to score 75 minutes into the match when P. Pineda's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. 80 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Talavera substitution. Oier enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

P. Pineda performed admirably for Oier. However, J. Šoblickas made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating Talavera player was without a doubt O. Cucala. C. Donvela was a disappointment, however. The match ends 1 - 2.
