The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 14210 had shown up at Contravent for the match. Yannic Penkler was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Korhan Vasık and Gennady Gendel. Contamina came close to extending the lead 21 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but J. Urbieta managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave D. Monea from Tobarich a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 23 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Halftime score was 1 - 0. CELLECS had most of the ball, with 55 percent of possession.

With 62 minutes gone, Tobarich's D. Monea had to leave the pitch after talking back to the referee and receiving his second booking. CELLECS's C. Wilms saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 76 minutes. P. Contamina behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 78 minutes as he gave the ball away to A. Aitanu. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. C. Wilms should probably have put his team up another goal after 79 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by J. Urbieta kept the visitors in the game. After 84 minutes, CELLECS were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. C. Wilms did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. CELLECS enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

CELLECS's best player was C. Wilms. O. Balafrej turned in a dismal performance, however. Tobarich's top performer was clearly J. Kauer. J. Urbieta on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 1 - 0.
