Dark skies made the crowd of 17439 at Puteros del Alba Arena a little nervous, but the rain held off. Adrian Oziębłowski was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Cláudião Guedes and Jakob Heindl. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Puteros. Puteros tried to focus their attacks down the middle. XERMAÑA were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. XERMAÑA's H. Rebelo got himself booked for a foul. M. Braconnier of Puteros had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. J. Borrego came in to finish the match. 40 minutes into the game, G. Lucescu had a great chance to put his team ahead, but his kick from the left went wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 0. Puteros claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 58 percent.

57 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a XERMAÑA substitution. J. Martin came on for M. Rumiati. Puteros could have put themselves ahead after 69 minutes but A. Gyllenland missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. XERMAÑA's A. Wojszko could have put the guests one up after 73 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but G. Nicole was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. They were singing the praises of M. Lyhborn 74 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to Puteros. After 75 minutes, XERMAÑA switched H. Rebelo with A. Kornatka, hoping for a quick impact on the pitch. A. Alves of Puteros displayed some of his fantastic technical abilities when he brought the ball down neatly using his instep before nutmegging the bewildered L. Häusler and smashing an unstoppable shot past the goalkeeper to make it 2 - 0. A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Puteros's C. Montinaro increasing the lead to 3 - 0. The referee showed XERMAÑA's G. Vila the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Puteros were forced into a substitution as S. Vladimirov couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing D. Krašna to come in off the bench. C. Montinaro could have increased the lead after 86 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Puteros, with 55 percent of the ball.

The most dominating Puteros player was without a doubt A. Alves. However, D. Krašna made a disastrous appearance. Most important XERMAÑA player was L. Häusler. G. Lucescu turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 0.
