A scorching day at TOMBO DO REIRO, where 12870 spectators were in place for today's match. Christophe Blanquart was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jérémy Faucheux and Luis Valenzuela. Fans of both teams had been eagerly awaiting this Galicia derby and were doing their best to outshout their opponents. XERMAÑA decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Today, XERMAÑA's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. The sun seemed to put D. Lamigueiro in a great mood, and he showed off his technical skills all match long. XERMAÑA's H. Rebelo got himself booked for a foul. XERMAÑA's G. Lucescu was shown a yellow card after 34 minutes for slicing down an opponent. After some beautiful movement down the left wing, H. Rebelo scored for XERMAÑA putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 38 minutes. D. Lamigueiro behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 40 minutes as he gave the ball away to M. Forcadell. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. XERMAÑA increased the lead as A. Wojszko struck to make the score 2 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. The referee showed GEADA's M. Molina the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. XERMAÑA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 62 percent.

With 50 minutes played, the GEADA coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. R. Varea came on, P. Ferreros had to leave the fray. After 56 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and F. Lecaroz gave the XERMAÑA supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. By now, the players in XERMAÑA felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave G. Vila from XERMAÑA a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 58 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! M. Rumiati left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 65 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead. J. Martin was the replacement. Attacking on the wings was the choice for XERMAÑA, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack. XERMAÑA managed to extend their lead to 4 - 0 when J. Martin cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. After 69 minutes, F. Lecaroz sent the corner kick right to L. Häusler who headed it sharply past the keeper. 5 - 0! A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of XERMAÑA to 6 - 0 as H. Rebelo finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. Given a free kick in a difficult position after 71 minutes, XERMAÑA tried a variation that they had practised in training. The kick was sent into the area just in front of the keeper. However, the defence were on their toes and allowed no space for a finish. The coach of XERMAÑA was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 75 minutes, S. Carlot came on for D. Lamigueiro. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, E. Palasciano got himself booked. The manager of XERMAÑA was not happy. The bench was restless, and with 80 minutes passed GEADA's coach gave E. Roca the opportunity the player had been hoping for. M. Forcadell reluctantly left the field. Possession in this half belonged to XERMAÑA, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

XERMAÑA's best player was F. Lecaroz. S. Carlot was a disappointment, however. M. Molina performed admirably for GEADA. However, K. Ateş made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 6 - 0.
