previous 2/10 next 4/10  Puteros 1 - 6 Montero (383070328)

Clear skies welcomed the 18797 spectators who had made their way to Puteros del Alba Arena. Hermelindo Romano was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Bill Abildgaard and Erik Yngvesson. Puteros tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Nicole - Macavei, Gyllenland, Vladimirov - Rosales, Sołtys, Lyhborn, Borrego, Montinaro - Alves, Köstli.

Montero decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. They fielded: Garde - Brañas, Dou - Garrigosa, Garavito, Buynovskiy, Ruiz Vadillo, Moncada Luna - Sánchez, Erta, Permui.

Puteros clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 4 minutes allowed D. Permui to score for Montero. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1. D. Permui received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 14 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 2. The Montero fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early. After 16 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed R. Moncada Luna to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3. 0 - 3 was the score after the first half. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Montero, with 51 percent of the ball.

55 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as S. Erta finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. 64 minutes into the game Puteros broke through on the left wing and A. Alves managed to reduce the lead to 1 - 4. After 66 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for S. Erta who increased Montero's lead to 1 - 5. After 77 minutes, Montero's V. Buynovskiy burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 6. After this, you could see that the players of Montero were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. Montero had most of the ball, with 53 percent of possession.

Puteros's best player was K. Sołtys. J. Borrego on the other hand, had a terrible day. Montero's top performer was clearly U. Sánchez. À. Dou turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 1 - 6.
