Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 27815 to
El Coliseum Rural.
Azim Songurtekin was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Massimo Barbetta and
Fausto Anfuffo.
Sporting started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Agrelo - Biglino, Grifoll, Zúñiga Requesens - Montero, Taviel, López Mata, Amayuelas, Moreno - Vilamajor, Coixet.

They fielded: Bufalieri - Marcu, Colluto, Quintaneiro - Frydrysiak, Crobu, Tuovinen, Ufenast, Dumont - Olivos, Gaborit.
With 5 minutes played
A. Vilamajor almost put the home team one ahead on a cross coming in from the right, but the shot went just wide.
Sporting created a good opportunity to score 28 minutes into the match when
U. Amayuelas's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball.
Rasputinius's
O. Gaborit refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 29 minutes.
0 - 0 was the halftime score.
Sporting enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 53 percent of possession.
Some great play up the middle by Sporting led to a chance for
È. Grifoll to score after 51 minutes, but the shot hit the crossbar.
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents,
E. Biglino got himself booked. The manager of Sporting was not happy.
A. Vilamajor caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 69 minutes. This gave Sporting the 1 - 0 lead.

A. Vilamajor performed admirably for Sporting.
On the other hand,
