Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 21059 to La Arboleja C.F. Arena. Jürgen Furrer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Mišo Slapar and Maciej Turkowski. Arboleja started off with a 3-5-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Cobas - Povolo, Hansmann, Morgan - Eskisabel, Ros Ramis, Panadero, Serrano Pacheco, Menéndez - Bravo, Oroví.

Arboleja used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. ARENA.CF were mostly trying to use their skill at attacking on the flanks. G. Oroví gave Arboleja the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Moro from ARENA.CF a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 6 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Arboleja were forced into a substitution as A. Morgan couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing V. Soto to come in off the bench. Things were going to get worse for the visitors. P. Menéndez squirmed through their central defence after 26 minutes, increasing the lead to 2 - 0. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Arboleja enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 83 percent of possession.

ARENA.CF needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 60 minutes A. Moro made way for T. Zerhouni. G. Oroví should probably have put his team up another goal after 65 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by H. Banaszyk kept the visitors in the game. With 75 minutes played, A. Bravo of Arboleja fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Arboleja's G. Oroví swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. R. Martín González showed why he is feared on the counterattack, breaking through in the middle and scoring for ARENA.CF after 84 minutes to make the score 2 - 1. R. Ros Ramis of Arboleja received a yellow card after 85 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Arboleja claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 81 percent.

Arboleja's top performer was clearly R. Ros Ramis. H. Cobas turned in a dismal performance, however. T. Zerhouni performed admirably for ARENA.CF. P. Barrios was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 1.
