Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 11414 to Academia Morpheus. Roberto Casula was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Reinhold Stadler and Markus Senner. Morpheus used their skill at pressing to cut off the attack angles of their opponents all over the field. Today, Perceiana's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. After 14 minutes Perceiana's N. Boswell-Ellbogen limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. Morpheus's Ş. Aybora was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 18 minutes. R. Żerdziński was called on to replace Morpheus's J. Ramo after 21 minutes following a nasty collision. Ş. Aybora gave Morpheus the lead as he successfully challenged the guests' central defenders, then slotted the ball into the bottom corner, giving the keeper no chance. 1 - 0 Morpheus pressed their opponents, causing the game to be a bit of a stalemate at times. Players in Perceiana heard their coach's words ringing in their ears and steered their central attacks to the wings instead. The visitors refused to give in and, after 29 minutes, S. Grykałowski evened things up as he finished off a perfect pass from the right. 1 - 1 Perceiana took the lead after 34 minutes making the score 1 - 2. R. Étienne placed the ball out of reach for the home side's keeper after a fine move, coming in from the left. Halftime score was 1 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Perceiana, who controlled the ball 63 percent of the time.

It was obvious that Perceiana had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. W. Kreklau could have put his team up another goal 56 minutes into the game, after a rush down the left, but his closing shot hit the post. H. Hitt of Morpheus received a yellow card after 67 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. A drive down the left side allowed J. Cañuelas to get in close and score another goal for Perceiana after 72 minutes, taking the score to 1 - 3. 74 minutes into the game, S. Ruski had to leave the pitch due to a knee injury. In came R. Knickrehm. After 77 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed W. Kreklau to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 1 - 4. 81 minutes in, Perceiana's R. Étienne received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. After 82 minutes, Perceiana's F. Cardoso burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 1 - 5. After this, you could see that the players of Perceiana were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. With 85 minutes gone, Morpheus's Ş. Aybora had to leave the pitch after talking back to the referee and receiving his second booking. Perceiana claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 65 percent.

H. Hitt performed admirably for Morpheus. R. Knickrehm turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Perceiana player was N. Kyburz. On the other hand, M. Matis's play was disheartening. The match ends 1 - 5.
