It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 18422 that came out to Nuevo Estadio Carlos Tartiere. Seyfi Vasfi was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Arvo Suntio and Frédéric Serra. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Nastic. Nastic used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings. Today, Perceiana's strategy involved concentrating on the flanks for their attacks. The visitors' central defence should have had no trouble clearing the pass to P. Montoliu, but the Nastic player managed to shrug them off and fired a low shot past the keeper to give his team the lead. 1 - 0! The home side's Y. Rousseau came close to extending the lead 6 minutes into the game. His shot came in from the right hand side but S. Esteller managed to save it with an unbelievable reaction stop. A great save by keeper S. Esteller after 13 minutes kept the visitors in the game after H. Lombardi struck from the left with a real cannonball. The visitors kept the pressure on to tie the game when, after 17 minutes, J. Cañuelas broke through the centre and found himself alone with the keeper. V. Çetinel made a great block, though. A. Drastík should probably have put his team up another goal after 26 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by S. Esteller kept the visitors in the game. 1 - 0 was the halftime score. Nastic had most of the ball, with 51 percent of possession.

The home side's P. Montoliu curled a free kick home after 59 minutes, putting Nastic ahead 2 - 0. D. Pattschull could have put Nastic up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 80 minutes. 87 minutes into the match, the visitors' central line of defence had to look on as M. Cebo broke through, making the score 3 - 0 for Nastic. By now, the players in Nastic felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward. Nastic put in a good effort on the right, but M. Demiček saw his volley fly wide of the mark 89 minutes into the game. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave P. Montoliu from Nastic a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 89 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Y. Bouvier's early cross saw the defenders caught out of position and the alert Y. Rousseau was able to pounce and roll the ball past the hapless goalkeeper to score for Nastic. 4 - 0. The fierce heat made it important to save breath, and after a few swift runs D. Pattschull found it hard to get back into position. The referee showed Nastic's H. Lombardi the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Nastic claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

Most important Nastic player was Y. Rousseau. P. Montoliu was a disappointment, however. T. Robert performed admirably for Perceiana. F. Cardoso on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 0.
