23-06-2012 15.15
A scorching day at
Burjassot Arena, where 17003 spectators were in place for today's match.
Benjamin Hippenmeyer was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Martijn Bruineman and
Cao Bao-Quoc.
Burjassot started off with a 4-4-2 lineup.
The following players took the field: Traïd - Roselló, Albero, Urruya, Luzón - Ramos García, Catincă, Canredondo, Zapata - Rauherdorn, Torrabadella.
Luci Feri had chosen a strategic 3-5-2 formation.
Lineup: Overwyk - Zieroth, Ly, Barceló - Quevedo, Alippi, Marrani, Pettersen, De Schrijver - Musello, Parum.
Burjassot clearly preferred using their ability to attack in the middle.
It was an obvious ambition of Luci Feri to use their ability at attacking on the flanks.
Luci Feri's
B. Pettersen gave the visitors a 0 - 1 lead after 10 minutes with a superb strike from the right.
Attacking on the wings was the choice for Luci Feri, and they were successfully passing the ball from the middle to the wings to attack.
Some fine movement on the left led to a Luci Feri goal after 11 minutes, making it 0 - 2.
F. De Schrijver was noted down as the scorer.
Burjassot's
J. Traïd refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 20 minutes.
It took several tries, but Burjassot managed to break through on the left after 24 minutes, getting the ball to
S. Rauherdorn who easily reduced the lead to make the score 1 - 2.
A defender managed to keep the ball from crossing the goal-line after a curling shot coming in from the right from
F. Quevedo after 32 minutes, and prevented Luci Feri from going up another goal.
1 - 2 was the halftime score.
Luci Feri claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 52 percent.
P. Urruya seemed highly inexperienced when, after 50 minutes, he was caught dilly-dallying with the ball and allowed
J. Parum to intercept and strike home the goal for Luci Feri to make the score 1 - 3.
With 54 minutes played,
E. Ramos García was very close to reducing the score for Burjassot with a low drive from the left, but a defender stuck his foot out just in the nick of time, blocking the shot to a corner.
The intense heat forced
J. Parum into making some errors because he couldn't seem to keep up with the others.
The home side worked hard to get through the middle and as a result, had a good chance of getting one back as
E. Ramos García tried lifting the ball over keeper
F. Overwyk. Unfortunately, the ball went just over the bar.
After 76 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for
E. Zieroth who increased Luci Feri's lead to 1 - 4.
The visitors'
M. Marrani took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 76 minutes into the match. 1 - 5 for Luci Feri.
After this, you could see that the players of Luci Feri were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Luci Feri, with 51 percent of the ball.
Burjassot's best player was
S. Rauherdorn.
J. Traïd on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Most important Luci Feri player was
V. Musello.
However,
E. Zieroth made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 1 - 5.
