Clear skies welcomed the 17078 spectators who had made their way to
Sesimbra.
Thomas Werner Gottberg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Jeroen Eken and
Marc Pascal Demblin.
Vacaciones had chosen a strategic 2-5-3 formation.
Starters: Oswald - Tapia, Cebadilla - Pocha, Mihle, Spit, Tufă, Ostermann - Costa Lima, Pallaro, Bojaxhi.
FCL tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination.
Lineup: Gómez - Ramos, Burcă, Pozzoli, Zanazzo - Cruxeira, Grankull, Kaarster, Galves - Tuset, Roquer.
For their match strategy, FCL had decided to use their ability to counter-attack whenever possible.
Vacaciones took the lead after 14 minutes as a result of
R. Tapia's peach of a shot from the right hand side of the box - placed beautifully in the top corner. 1 - 0.
Vacaciones's
R. Tapia increased the lead to 2 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 18 minutes.
M. Roquer of FCL received a yellow card after 28 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour.
J. Tuset looked to be heading one way when he unexpectedly passed the ball to
E. Cruxeira. The move caught everyone off-guard, including his teammate, who panicked and kicked the ball out of play by accident.
Things were deteriorating for the away team as Vacaciones scored another to make it 3 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for
P. Pallaro after 33 minutes.
34 minutes in, FCL's
C. Burcă received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first.
In a fantastic display of determination, Vacaciones's
S. Ostermann forced himself to his feet, after an opponent viciously knocked him down.
Cheers filled the stadium as
S. Ostermann broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 4 - 0 to Vacaciones.

M. Roquer after 41 minutes following a nasty collision.

N. Mihle had an excellent opportunity after 70 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
With 71 minutes played,
F. Pozzoli of FCL fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving.
Vacaciones managed to extend their lead to 6 - 0 when
T. Costa Lima cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper.
After this, you could see that the players of Vacaciones were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals.
FCL showed their counterattack skill 79 minutes into the match by breaking through the middle, with
P. Kaarster scoring uncontested for 6 - 1.
Vacaciones enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 75 percent of possession.
