Palmas 1 - 0 Amistad
(383111580)

30-06-2012 15.15
It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 16360 that came out to
Estadio de Gran Canaria.
Luis Alonso was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Damiano Arena and
Sebastian Krumina.
Palmas tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination.
Lineup: Yarkın - Oleksiuk, Rheinheimer, Ruel - Ditzel, Minihold, Bernard, Stoilov, Endrych - Księżak, Zhivulin.
Amistad decided to use a 4-3-3 set up.
The following players took the field: Schönhill - Lipczyński, Azevedo Nunes, D'Agostini, Valda - Comolli, Kwatera, Antuña - Castroncelos, Hontana, Marca.
Palmas used their ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.
Amistad clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could.
After 13 minutes Amistad tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately,
R. Hontana's shot sailed wide after his break down the right.
Palmas took the lead 23 minutes in, as
D. Księżak broke through on the left and put the 1 - 0 shot just beyond the reach of the outstretched keeper.
With 26 minutes played,
O. Ruel could have brought this one home for Palmas as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high.
M. D'Agostini enjoyed the sunshine and demonstrated his stunning technique over and over again.
J. Endrych had a fantastic opportunity to put Palmas up another goal 28 minutes into the match, but he fired just over the crossbar.
Amistad had to make a substitution after 34 minutes.
W. Lipczyński limped off the field and was replaced by
G. Grigoraş.
1 - 0 was the halftime score.
Palmas enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 68 percent of possession.
The heat made it a terrible day for
D. Stoilov, who seemed unable to keep up with the other players.
黄. 明政 (Mingzheng) was called on to replace Palmas's
I. Minihold after 55 minutes following a nasty collision.
Amistad needed a fresh pair of legs on the field, and after 56 minutes
E. Kwatera made way for
J. Chiripa.
Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Amistad's
R. Hontana was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 65 minutes.
S. Bove was given a chance to change things around.
The visitors almost came back with an equaliser 65 minutes into the match after a good combination down the middle, but when
J. Marca tried to finish the attack, he couldn't deliver the shot hard enough to seriously challenge the keeper.
S. Oleksiuk should probably have put his team up another goal after 68 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by
H. Schönhill kept the visitors in the game.
Coming in from the right, Amistad had a good opportunity to convert on a counterattack after 71 minutes, but
S. Bove's attempt to finish was easily stopped.
K. Rheinheimer could have put Palmas up one more, but he fired into the side netting after breaking free on the left after 85 minutes.
Palmas had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.
The most dominating Palmas player was without a doubt
D. Księżak.
On the other hand,
R. Ditzel's play was disheartening.
Most important Amistad player was
J. Marca.
G. Grigoraş on the other hand, had a terrible day.
The match ends 1 - 0.
