The crowd of 9896 turning up at CELTA FUT Arena today were greeted with some nasty showers of rain. Zack Sloan was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Daniele Mantenuto and Eric Dodos. CELTA tactics involved an interesting 3-5-2 combination. Resacon decided to use a 5-4-1 set up. They fielded: Vauhkola - Méndez, Fräfeldt, Güell, Myklebust, Arkış - Soares, Pontone, Canal, Ram - Ecegün.

CELTA mostly ignored the flanks in favour of their ability to attack in the middle. The wings were the focus of most of Resacon's attacks today. They were singing the praises of J. Estenaga 4 minutes into the match after his speculative chip from the middle of the penalty box found its way over the visitors' keeper to make the score 1 - 0 to CELTA. A great save by keeper J. Vauhkola after 18 minutes kept the visitors in the game after T. Skarbø struck from the left with a real cannonball. Halftime score was 1 - 0. CELTA claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 66 percent.

E. Larsson of CELTA received a yellow card after 53 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. T. Skarbø of CELTA seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 2 - 0 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by E. Larsson. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, Resacon's A. Soares was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 61 minutes. J. Gressl was given a chance to change things around. With 61 minutes played, CELTA's M. Klett almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Resacon were determined to attack on the wing and their central attempts were constantly abandoned in favour of the wings. Resacon's counterattacks were lethal to the opposing defence, allowing R. Pontone to score easily from the right flank for 2 - 1. CELTA increased the lead as D. Ţiţeica struck to make the score 3 - 1 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. After this, you could see that the players of CELTA were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. With 79 minutes played, J. Gressl of Resacon fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by CELTA, with 68 percent of the ball.

CELTA's top performer was clearly M. Klett. On the other hand, T. Skarbø's play was disheartening. The most dominating Resacon player was without a doubt M. Ram. However, F. Canal made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 3 - 1.
