Anguera managed to extend their lead to 3 - 0 when A. Garatea cut in neatly from the left side and struck a fine shot past the away team's goalkeeper. Chiquetete's A. Querejazu was shown a yellow card after 20 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Chiquetete came close to narrowing the gap when L. Masriera's free kick nearly made it past the outstretched hands of S. Birri after 23 minutes. With 26 minutes played, Anguera's well-worked indirect free kick caused havoc in the penalty area, and when the ball eventually fell to R. Oleksis he gleefully slotted the ball home to make it 4 - 0. The players of Anguera now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle. After 27 minutes a very unfortunate collision in the penalty area led to Chiquetete's R. Muñoz Díaz being carried off the pitch and replaced by G. Vleugels. Cheers filled the stadium as M. da Silva broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 5 - 0 to Anguera. 5 - 0 was the score after the first half. Anguera had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

G. Vleugels showed his inexperience when he failed to anticipate the bounce of a high ball, allowing Anguera's C. Aprile to take advantage and place a shot into the bottom corner of the goal. 6 - 0. After 67 minutes, C. Elgueza put Anguera ahead 7 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Anguera's L. Hernanz increased the lead to 8 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 71 minutes. R. Carantoña sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from L. Masriera after 74 minutes of play, making the score 8 - 1. Anguera's A. Garatea had an excellent opportunity after 80 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Anguera, with 51 percent of the ball.

Anguera's top performer was clearly F. Niehof. I. Lubout turned in a dismal performance, however. R. Ocio performed admirably for Chiquetete. D. Samuilov was a disappointment, however. The match ends 8 - 1.
