Ressaca 3 - 1 Xuxos (383122632)

The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 20025 had shown up at Ressaca's lodge for the match. Sebastián Mercado was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Chris Linster and Tommy Henriksson. Ressaca decided to use a 3-5-2 set up. Ressaca saw most attack opportunities on the wings. I. Pfaeffli came close to putting the visiting team one up 4 minutes into the match, following a solo raid down the middle, but I. Elizagaray managed to tip the ball to a corner. 0 - 0 was the halftime score. Ressaca enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 59 percent of possession.

46 minutes into the game, Ressaca wanted to bring some new energy to their game. J. Patarroyo gave B. Jensen a quick hug as he left the field. J. Pardo behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 53 minutes as he gave the ball away to Q. Couselo. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. After 56 minutes of play, N. Cruxeira gave the home team a 1 - 0 lead after an attack coming in from the right. After 58 minutes, Xuxos sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached G. Badolo, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 1 - 1. Ressaca took the lead 60 minutes into the game by 2 - 1, as J. Pardo elegantly received a long range pass through the middle, finishing off with a half-volley shot just below the bar. 64 minutes in, Xuxos's I. Pfaeffli received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. An equalising goal seemed certain after 82 minutes when A. Ferreros attacked down the left wing, but I. Elizagaray just managed to make a save to keep the ball out of the net. J. Pardo increased the lead for Ressaca to 3 - 1, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Ressaca, with 62 percent of the ball.

Ressaca's top performer was clearly A. Foica. I. Elizagaray on the other hand, had a terrible day. The most dominating Xuxos player was without a doubt R. Borras. G. Badolo turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 3 - 1.
