The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 12000 had shown up at Liverbull Puk F.C. Arena for the match. Melker Olsson was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Kryspin Wytrych and Kaupo Tera. A 3-5-2 alignment was the formation of choice for Liverbull. They fielded: Jeantes - Vagrande, Botín Ríos, Sánchez Diaz - Sánchez, Umpanera, Casquero, Surdu, Medrano - Crespi, Pirez.

Palafrugell decided to use a 5-3-2 set up. Starters: Montes - Burón, Deulofeu, Bonilla, Sánchez, Miguel Valle - Spínola, Cotobade, Parisod - Gonser, Baumgartner-Klötzner.

Palafrugell were relying on their ability to counter-attack. A. Cotobade had a good try after 37 minutes, coming in on a fine move from the left, but the ball went wide. T. Burón was the first to reach the corner kick, but his header was blocked by the keeper. However, Palafrugell's A. Sánchez managed to get hold of the rebound and tucked the ball into the empty net. 0 - 1 Liverbull's A. Sánchez Diaz put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 42 minutes, but the ball went wide. The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 1. Palafrugell had most of the ball, with 52 percent of possession.

N. Baumgartner-Klötzner wanted to play on, but the Palafrugell coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 46 minutes into the game by A. Giorgiani. Palafrugell's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 61 minutes gone, but E. Gonser's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. After 68 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave A. Giorgiani a chance to increase the lead for Palafrugell, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 2. The Palafrugell players could smell victory in the air. S. Parisod wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for J. Capdevila after 75 minutes. The visitors added to their lead 80 minutes into the game, after a sensational penalty kick by Palafrugell's A. Cotobade slid just past the home keeper. 0 - 3. The coach of Palafrugell was happy with the game so far, but still wanted to change the line up. After 81 minutes, R. Posadas came on for J. Montes. A. Cotobade became the new Palafrugell captain. Confident in their lead, Palafrugell's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Liverbull had a brilliant opportunity to reply as P. Crespi received a high ball from the right, striking the ball in the air. Only R. Posadas's reflexes saved him. Possession was split evenly between the teams.

The most dominating Liverbull player was without a doubt P. Crespi. M. Botín Ríos was a disappointment, however. Most important Palafrugell player was E. Deulofeu. A. Sánchez turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 3.
