The weather was pretty good, and a crowd of 6796 had shown up at green schalke stadium for the match. Storani finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, M. Bujosa got himself booked. The manager of Schalke was not happy. At this point, it was obvious that the players of ASTURKONES lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. Halftime score was 0 - 3. After 47 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for I. Mrva who increased ASTURKONES's lead to 0 - 4. After 48 minutes, ASTURKONES's N. Tavares burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 5. ASTURKONES's N. Tavares made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 49 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. After 52 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed I. Mrva to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 6. After 56 minutes ASTURKONES's J. Schönbrunn limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Coca from ASTURKONES a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 68 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! ASTURKONES increased their lead after 74 minutes when M. Storani broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 7, much to the home crowd's dismay. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by ASTURKONES, with 82 percent of the ball.

Schalke's top performer was clearly M. Moldovan. However, F. Vila made a disastrous appearance. The most dominating ASTURKONES player was without a doubt N. Tavares. S. Lévêque turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 0 - 7.
