Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 6774 at Last Whipers today. Radu Anca was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Arne Bastiaans and Miklós Csúri. F.C.Desertores had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Vybiral - Ursuleasa, Valov, Fedon, Irisarri - Deckert, Guernica, Donaldson, Caimi - Tumminia, Pfeiffer.

A 4-5-1 alignment was the formation of choice for ADAI. Lineup: Xuste - Adriaenssens, Egues, Rautio, Righini - Günzel, Bay, Hegger, Jaromin, Heeren - Villalaúd.

F.C.Desertores created a good opportunity to score 2 minutes into the match when K. Deckert's hooked ball from the left created a scuffle in front of the goal, and the visitors' defenders had a hard time clearing the ball. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when K. Heeren was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 17 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! After 22 minutes, ADAI put themselves up 0 - 1, as C. Jaromin finished off a strike from the left with a real cannonball of a shot. E. Egues sailed high above the opponents as he headed in a corner kick from J. Adriaenssens after 32 minutes of play, making the score 0 - 2. E. Melgar was called on to replace F.C.Desertores's F. Caimi after 40 minutes following a nasty collision. 0 - 2 was the halftime score. F.C.Desertores claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 53 percent.

Having been awarded a free kick in an awkward position after 66 minutes, F.C.Desertores did not go for a shot but instead fired the ball hard into the 6 yard box. After a brief tussle with his marker, M. Guernica was able to power the ball past the keeper to make the score 1 - 2. F.C.Desertores's K. Deckert had to watch the rest of the game from the sidelines, after twisting his ankle with 75 minutes having been played. R. Azañón was the replacement. F.C.Desertores's K. Pfeiffer put his head to a high ball coming in from the right after 79 minutes, but the ball went wide. P. Günzel of ADAI was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. Due to some great work on the right wing F.C.Desertores's M. Guernica was able to even the score after 86 minutes to make the score 2 - 2. After 86 minutes, the ADAI coach had a quick word about the tactical set-up and decided to try another approach. F.C.Desertores had most of the ball, with 57 percent of possession.

The most dominating F.C.Desertores player was without a doubt K. Pfeiffer. E. Melgar turned in a dismal performance, however. ADAI's top performer was clearly C. Villalaúd. K. Heeren was a disappointment, however. The match ends 2 - 2.
