12387 spectators had come to
Un, Dos, Tres this cloudy day.
Andrés Alarcón was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Klas Stefansen and
Edmund Hautschek.
Llïón decided to use a 4-4-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Emhart - Valcarce, Noki, Thuesen Dahl, Ivan - Navarro Alas, Koestinger, Boday, Molenberghs - Clarke, Capmany.
Jedula started off with a 4-5-1 lineup.
Starters: Katona - de Moxó, Jordà, Villarprego, Caballer - Coloma, Forner, Ruiz de Castilla, Castañer, Armero - Valdés.
Llïón decided to play creatively.
Jedula were relying on their ability to counter-attack.
With 15 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 - 0 lead as
B. Valcarce flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
The referee showed Jedula's
R. de Moxó the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Llïón were forced into a substitution as
A. Molenberghs couldn't continue due to some rough treatment, forcing
A. Rojas Brieva to come in off the bench.
Jedula's
R. de Moxó left the field after 32 minutes because of a nasty blow to the shin. His replacement was
I. Carrillo.
After 33 minutes,
J. Clarke put Llïón ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing.
Llïón's
A. Ivan had an excellent opportunity after 34 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles!
Llïón's
R. Capmany saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 38 minutes.
After 39 minutes, the defensive line of Jedula created a counterattack through the middle that gave
M. Villarprego a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar.
With 40 minutes played, Llïón's
B. Valcarce almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net.
2 - 0 was the score after the first half.
Llïón claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 60 percent.
With 48 minutes gone,
J. Coloma suddenly found himself completely free on the right wing when a counterattack by Jedula caught their opponents by surprise. Only a great save by the opposing keeper prevented him from scoring.
Llïón made it 3 - 0 as
B. Valcarce got a touch to the floated corner kick and flicked the ball to
L. Thuesen Dahl who whipped a low drive in off the far post.
By now, the players in Llïón felt that victory was guaranteed and began to play it safe, focusing on defence and not risking too much going forward.
A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Llïón's
M. Navarro Alas increasing the lead to 4 - 0.
Good work by the Llïón defensive line after 85 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found
M. Navarro Alas alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide.
Llïón's
J. Noki increased the lead to 5 - 0, after he saw his shot go between the legs of the advancing goalkeeper following some good play down the right wing after 86 minutes.
Llïón had most of the ball, with 61 percent of possession.
Most important Llïón player was
M. Navarro Alas.
S. Emhart was a disappointment, however.
Jedula's best player was
J. Coloma.
However,
F. Jordà made a disastrous appearance.
The match ends 5 - 0.
