A speedy charge from the left side of the field increased the lead of Madrid to 2 - 0 as O. Bodale finished it off competently, firing in from an acute angle. It was 2 - 0 at the break. ATL.CRM claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 55 percent.

With 46 minutes played, the ATL.CRM coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. E. Ardisana came on, H. Güvençtürk had to leave the fray. The visitors got a chance to pulling one back after 54 minutes, due to a defensive blunder leaving A. Vaits completely unmarked. His strike was pathetic though, easy prey for the home side's keeper. After 64 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and M. Gagliardi gave the Madrid supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 3 - 0. Although the whole team were struggling to impress, ATL.CRM's K. Schiemann was singled out as being the problem as he was called off the pitch after 70 minutes. K. Mulero was given a chance to change things around. ATL.CRM's W. Wallner was able to reply, after 71 minutes, making the score 3 - 1 with a well struck penalty. With 77 minutes played, Madrid put themselves up 4 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to O. Dubuisson, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. ATL.CRM reduced the lead after 79 minutes to 4 - 2 as M. Lorelei easily chipped the ball past the home side's keeper after a dazzling play from the right. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by ATL.CRM, with 55 percent of the ball.

Most important Madrid player was O. Dubuisson. P. Zych on the other hand, had a terrible day. R. Robles Sánchez performed admirably for ATL.CRM. J. Bańka turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 4 - 2.
