(383245202)

16-06-2012 15.45
A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 10288 to
Mordor Arena.
Luca Chiezzi Porrini was the appointed referee with assistance provided by
Henko Kadijk and
Christophe Vaz.
Freeride decided to use a 3-5-2 set up.
The following players took the field: Dębiński - Sarmes, Cámac, Pische - Royberghs, Yüce, Zoomer, Ringeling, Stringa - Tubin, Pleis.
Madrid started off with a 3-5-2 lineup.
Lineup: Pavlín - Ballmann, de Aragón, Aixàs - Pelayo, Jabczyk, Valcárcel, Mutti, Latyshev - Paglia, Hadamik.
A mistake by the home side's central defence after 2 minutes allowed
F. Mutti to score for Madrid. The scoreboard now read 0 - 1.
W. Jabczyk behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 11 minutes as he gave the ball away to
M. Zoomer. Lucky for him though, there was no goal.
After 16 minutes, Madrid sent a free kick in high over the penalty box. In what looked like a well-rehearsed move, the ball was headed backwards and reached
G. Paglia, who had plenty of space to place a well aimed shot - 0 - 2.
The players of Madrid now seemed to think the job was done and acted more defensively, just waiting for the ref to blow the final whistle.
M. Zoomer did everything he could to get one back for his Freeride, but keeper
O. Pavlín denied him with a spectacular block.
The teams went for the halftime break at 0 - 2.
Madrid enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 60 percent of possession.
After 48 minutes, a mistake by the home side's left defence allowed
W. Jabczyk to get through. He outclassed the home side's keeper, adding another goal for the visitors. 0 - 3.
O. Pelayo hit the corner kick straight to the keeper, but it was mishandled, giving Madrid's
V. Latyshev an easy chance to knock it in for 0 - 4.
The referee showed Freeride's
O. Yüce the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge.
Madrid's
A. Hadamik got himself booked for a foul.
Madrid claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 61 percent.
Most important Freeride player was
P. Sarmes.
O. Yüce on the other hand, had a terrible day.
Madrid's top performer was clearly
W. Jabczyk.
On the other hand,
O. Pavlín's play was disheartening.
The match ends 0 - 4.
