Fairly good weather for football had drawn a crowd of 4292 to AC Mont-Roig Arena. Åge Kjeldahl was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Daumants Demiters and Ion Borcan. After 24 minutes, J. Ermigarate put Mont-Roig ahead 2 - 0 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, J. Esperun got himself booked. The manager of Mont-Roig was not happy. After 41 minutes, Mont-Roig's A. Magdici found the back of the goal with a beautiful free kick. 3 - 0. Confident in their lead, Mont-Roig's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. 3 - 0 was the halftime score. Possession in this half belonged to Mont-Roig, who controlled the ball 73 percent of the time.

Things were deteriorating for the away team as Mont-Roig scored another to make it 4 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for J. Menéndez after 47 minutes. A. Moliner should probably have put his team up another goal after 57 minutes, but some great goalkeeping by R. Colomo kept the visitors in the game. Mont-Roig solidified their lead at the 70 minute mark, as N. Ubago dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 0. Mont-Roig's J. Esperun saw his fine effort strike the top of the bar following some good work up the middle by his teammates after 74 minutes. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Mont-Roig, with 79 percent of the ball.

Mont-Roig's top performer was clearly M. Riva. A. Moliner on the other hand, had a terrible day. Solan's best player was B. Askorbebeitia. R. Colomo turned in a dismal performance, however. The match ends 5 - 0.
