Qucs 8 - 1 Cukarrete (383290337)

A brilliantly sunny day had enticed a crowd of 1746 to Olímpic de Catalunya. Tony Meade was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Fergus Bosman and Emilio Kattmann. Qucs started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players took the field: Castropol - Baëchiri, Fassini, Bada, Sanz López - Cilóiz, Ştefan, Macías, Kovačević - Meira, Salazar Murillo.

Cukarrete tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. They fielded: Prill - Ramírez, Caranza, Mulero, Urbina Melgarejo - Igoa, Areda, Mejías, Tomeu - Ghawti, Ruescas.

Given a free kick close to the byline, Qucs tried a move that loyal fans may recognise from training. A pass to the side pulled the defence out of position which let I. Cilóiz slip through on goal. He didn't have to break his stride, and slipped the ball past the keeper to make it 1 - 0, 9 minutes into the game. The crowd was silenced 14 minutes into the match as the visiting team's M. Igoa came in from the left, levelling the score to 1 - 1. With 18 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as G. Ştefan flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. One of many good crosses from V. Kovačević on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by F. Salazar Murillo, who scored for Qucs. 3 - 1 A magnificent combination in the middle resulted in Qucs's S. Bada increasing the lead to 4 - 1. Qucs solidified their lead at the 36 minute mark, as V. Macías dribbled the ball through the opposing central defence and scored to make it 5 - 1. 5 - 1 was the score after the first half. Qucs enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 65 percent of possession.

With 49 minutes played, Qucs's I. Meira almost extended the lead, but his shot from the left glanced off the top of the bar to fall behind the net. Qucs put in a good effort on the right, but V. Macías saw his volley fly wide of the mark 54 minutes into the game. Usually a powerful player on the field, W. Ghawti looked kind of pale and tired under the hot sun. After 64 minutes, F. Salazar Murillo put Qucs ahead 6 - 1 when he rose to head in a cross from the right wing. Confident in their lead, Qucs's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. Cheers filled the stadium as V. Macías broke through the visitors' central defence to put away the ball to increase the lead to 7 - 1 to Qucs. The home side's I. Baëchiri curled a free kick home after 75 minutes, putting Qucs ahead 8 - 1. Possession in this half belonged to Qucs, who controlled the ball 59 percent of the time.

Qucs's best player was G. Ştefan. On the other hand, D. Castropol's play was disheartening. The most dominating Cukarrete player was without a doubt M. Tomeu. J. Prill was a disappointment, however. The match ends 8 - 1.
