previous 9/10 next 1/10  Snare 5 - 0 CEMistrali (383293025)

It had rained all day, but 5635 hardy fans still made it out to Arcadi Arena. Halvor Langset was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Tal Gaist and Rares Mihãilescu. Snare had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. They fielded: Herrera - de la Ossa, de Moxó, Vallejo, Espartero - Gratacós, Moreno Pidal, Daoudi, Pérez Cruz - Santiago, Fullana.

CEMistrali tactics involved an interesting 4-4-2 combination. The following players had been chosen: Carlí - Torroja, Romero Ramos, Şerban, Criado - Altube, Plazaola, Martínez Cabezón, Sandoval - Onrubia, Cornellà.

Snare had a magnificent opportunity after 9 minutes as A. Moreno Pidal hit the ball hard from the edge of the penalty box. However, the shot went wide. A. Şerban of CEMistrali was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. CEMistrali's I. Cornellà could have put the guests one up after 23 minutes after chasing a through ball from the right, but R. Herrera was as fast as a snake, grabbing the ball from under his nose. A. Moreno Pidal was in the clear after breaking the offside trap following a Snare counterattack from the left after 24 minutes. His neat finish made the score 1 - 0. I. Cornellà was uncomfortable with the soggy pitch as he couldn't move the ball around with his usual grace. CEMistrali had to make a substitution after 27 minutes. C. Sandoval limped off the field and was replaced by A. Jondoli. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Snare scored another to make it 2 - 0 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for A. Daoudi after 36 minutes. With 41 minutes played, seemingly due to lack of experience, A. Şerban needlessly tripped an opponent just outside the penalty area, but the free kick that followed didn't succeed. With 42 minutes played, L. Gratacós could have brought this one home for Snare as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. With 43 minutes played, A. Moreno Pidal of Snare fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. After 43 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by CEMistrali was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. A. Torroja of CEMistrali received a yellow card after 44 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. After 44 minutes CEMistrali's L. Altube contracted a slight foot injury, but didn't want to leave the game. It was 2 - 0 at the break. Snare enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 57 percent of possession.

G. Fullana increased the lead for Snare to 3 - 0, getting a head onto a hooked ball from the right. The ball looked to have taken a deflection on the way in, but he's claiming it! 50 minutes into the game, CEMistrali's attack got through on the right, but A. Torroja couldn't handle the ball and his feeble kick wound up in the keeper's arms. 69 minutes in, Snare's G. Fullana received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave M. Martínez Cabezón from CEMistrali a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 74 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Snare increased the lead as N. Pérez Cruz struck to make the score 4 - 0 after an attack from the left left him unmarked in front of the keeper. After this, you could see that the players of Snare were more interested in killing time than scoring more goals. E. de la Ossa struck a 30 metre free kick home 79 minutes into the match. 5 - 0 for the home team. Snare's P. Vallejo got himself booked for a foul. A. Jondoli of CEMistrali had to be helped off the pitch as an injury meant he was unable to finish the game. Ó. Caruana came in to finish the match. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by CEMistrali, with 52 percent of the ball.

Snare's best player was T. Santiago. However, R. Herrera made a disastrous appearance. Ó. Caruana performed admirably for CEMistrali. T. Carlí on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 5 - 0.
