previous 3/10 next 5/10  Natividividis 4 - 0 EuroFran (383324186)

4071 spectators had come to Natividividi's Arena this cloudy day. Edy Sigg was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Ðuro Pekota and David Vilas-Boas. Natividividis had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. Lineup: Heles - Mas, Robres, Potestad, Fromista - Eirei, Porcel, Fillol, Senent - Velarde, Olmos.

EuroFran started off with a 4-4-2 lineup. The following players had been chosen: Fillol - Cuartango, Tomé, Negreanu, Vert - Coria, Doniániz, Hassani, Ussía - Olano, Maestro Lista.

After some beautiful movement down the left wing, P. Olmos scored for Natividividis putting them ahead 1 - 0, after 8 minutes. Natividividis's D. Porcel had an excellent opportunity after 32 minutes, shooting after receiving a pass from the right hand side, but he missed the goal by miles! Natividividis's E. Senent was shown a yellow card after 33 minutes for slicing down an opponent. Natividividis put themselves up 2 - 0 when P. Olmos broke through on the right, leaving the entire defence trailing in his wake. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Natividividis lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. After 39 minutes a well-practised indirect free kick routine by Natividividis was easily anticipated by the defenders. The players forward were so well marked, they were left with few viable options. J. Vert of EuroFran was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. 2 - 0 was the halftime score. Natividividis had most of the ball, with 76 percent of possession.

After 71 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by J. Potestad might have resulted in another goal for Natividividis. However, R. Fillol made a spectacular save. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave J. Maestro Lista from EuroFran a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 72 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! M. Mas struck a 30 metre free kick home 74 minutes into the match. 3 - 0 for the home team. After 86 minutes, the away team failed to deal with a good exchange of passes on the right, and M. Mas gave the Natividividis supporters even more to cheer about when he increased the lead to 4 - 0. The referee showed EuroFran's J. Olano the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Natividividis, with 80 percent of the ball.

Most important Natividividis player was E. Senent. P. Olmos was a disappointment, however. EuroFran's best player was J. Ussía. D. Doniániz on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 4 - 0.
