It was an exceptionally sunny day for the crowd of 4273 that came out to Juan Muro de Zaro. Reitze Oudhuis was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Rudolf Bröhl and Ivan Josefsson. A 4-4-2 alignment was the formation of choice for C.D.Llaranes. Lineup: Vidal Ramírez - Ivanov, Cuyàs, Moro, Eskutxuri - Camós, Mila, Liébana, Bouabdallaoui - Cevallos, Rivadeneira.

Stab decided to use a 4-4-2 set up. Starters: Malvárez - Collel, Guaita, Pallares, Zuricaray - González-Grano de Oro, Campino, La Torre, Álvarez Miguel - González Socueva, Sánchez.

C.D.Llaranes could have put themselves ahead after 2 minutes but J. Liébana missed a volley shot on a ball coming in from the right. Stab took the lead 7 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. V. Pallares was the scorer. With a shot curled in from just outside the middle of the penalty area after 11 minutes played, A. Rivadeneira of C.D.Llaranes made the score 1 - 1. J. Liébana behaved like an inexperienced youth player after 27 minutes as he gave the ball away to G. La Torre. Lucky for him though, there was no goal. The C.D.Llaranes free kick 28 minutes into the match seemed wasted, as the shot was both short and off target. But was this actually a plan? The ball landed at the feet of A. Rivadeneira, who was completely unmarked in the box. That's 2 - 1! L. Eskutxuri could have increased the lead after 31 minutes, but his shot hit the post after a nice combination in the middle of the park. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave A. Moro from C.D.Llaranes a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 35 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! J. Campino's knee will be throbbing for days, but thankfully for Stab, he bravely continued in the match. Stab's right side looked dangerous 40 minutes in, but F. Vidal Ramírez made a good save on D. González-Grano de Oro's hard shot to the top corner. Coming through the middle J. Campino almost scored the equaliser for Stab after 41 minutes, but F. Vidal Ramírez made an excellent save, tipping the awkwardly curled shot past the post. It was 2 - 1 at the break. C.D.Llaranes had most of the ball, with 56 percent of possession.

Things were going to get worse for the visitors. A. Rivadeneira squirmed through their central defence after 60 minutes, increasing the lead to 3 - 1. That made three goals for A. Rivadeneira and he was marked down for the hat trick. The referee showed C.D.Llaranes's E. Camós the yellow card after a particularly nasty challenge. The visitors got one back when C. Collel finished off a pass from the left and scored after 78 minutes. 3 - 2 was the score. After 81 minutes, C.D.Llaranes were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. A. Mila did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. When E. Camós made yet another studs-first tackle after 84 minutes, the referee was obliged to book the C.D.Llaranes player for the second time, sending him off the pitch. The visiting team's V. González Socueva was able to score the 3 - 3 equaliser with a header 85 minutes into the match, after some good work on the right. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by C.D.Llaranes, with 54 percent of the ball.

A. Rivadeneira performed admirably for C.D.Llaranes. A. Bouabdallaoui was a disappointment, however. The most dominating Stab player was without a doubt G. La Torre. D. Malvárez on the other hand, had a terrible day. The match ends 3 - 3.
