Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 61031 at Fortūna today. Oleg Chopik was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Jan Skretting and Jano Silveira. Ragas tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players took the field: Pettersson - Dorofiejevas, Bispo, Iljeitis, Vengras - Liužinas, Sorger, Juozapavičius, Dangelevičius, Tuganauskas - Patašius.

Pasienietis started off with a 4-5-1 lineup. Lineup: Musatovas - Kluy, Mogensen, Anillo, Udassi - Pedrosa, Delmotte, Mendaro, Giuggiolini, Barboza - Gfeller.

The wings were the focus of most of Pasienietis's attacks today. Pasienietis's J. Barboza managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 31 minutes. 0 - 1. A foul 34 minutes into the game resulted in a free kick for Ragas. E. Bispo took advantage as he curled the equalising goal into the top corner, just out of the reach of the keeper. 1 - 1. It was obvious that Pasienietis had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle. This was a good period for the visitors, with several opportunities to take the lead, particularly when R. Gfeller slipped through the defence on the right to come up alone against O. Pettersson, but the home side's keeper showed his lightning reflexes. After 38 minutes, Pasienietis were awarded a free kick. Rather than shooting straight at goal, the taker went for an indirect variant which seemed to take his team mates a bit by surprise. C. Udassi did attempt a finish, but from an awkward position, sending the ball into the away fans. It was 1 - 1 at the break. Ragas claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 54 percent.

D. Musatovas had to be alert to tip E. Bispo's fantastic penalty kick over the bar, denying Ragas a chance at the lead. Possession in this half belonged to Ragas, who controlled the ball 53 percent of the time.

T. Patašius performed admirably for Ragas. F. Tuganauskas was a disappointment, however. Most important Pasienietis player was D. Musatovas. However, J. Barboza made a disastrous appearance. The match ends 1 - 1.
