Fiasse a good look at the goal, but his shot glanced harmlessly off the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game Fight managed a counterattack, but M. Olsson took a soft shot from the left flank that was easy prey for the alert keeper. 1 - 0 was the score after the first half. Possession in this half belonged to Kesteven, who controlled the ball 60 percent of the time.

After 50 minutes J. Cinkus made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to A. Zandberg who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 1 - 1. 65 minutes into the match, the referee signalled for a Kesteven substitution. L. Faucher came on for M. Mondvidas. After 70 minutes, the Kesteven coach wanted to see a new face on the pitch, waving G. Petry off the field. T. Höllbauer took his place. 75 minutes had elapsed when a great chance for Kesteven to take the lead after a good cross from the right found S. Kahanek alone with the keeper, but he chipped it to the wrong side of the post. After 76 minutes Fight tried to exploit their counterattacking skills, unfortunately, A. Fiasse's shot sailed wide after his break down the right. 77 minutes in, Kesteven's L. Faucher received a yellow card for going into a challenge studs first. A loud groan was heard from the fans of Fight, as S. Zhungulovski left the pitch in too much pain to finish the match. V. Chraptavičius took his place on the field. The referee showed Fight's J.
