27698 punters turned up at Dragon's Arena, and despite threatening clouds on the horizon, no rain came. Miclãus Vâlcu was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Romain Kohli and Federico Blanc. A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Kirin. They fielded: Kršák - Chiorean, Šimko - Gobela, Lamacchia, Wirth, Kyckling, Onnis - Szekrényes, Trendel, Dronkert.

Sučany decided to use a 2-5-3 set up. The following players took the field: Conti - Grošík, Zagrevskiy - Ezinger, Moss, Kladný, Chamaca, Torabi - Riečanský, Lukácsi, Kontuľ.

Right from the start it was obvious that Sučany were expecting an easy victory. The strategy for Kirin was to use their ability to press. The home crowd breathed a collective sigh of relief when A. Torabi was unable to put the ball in the net after his show of skill down the left 14 minutes into the match. He was seen beating the pitch in frustration at missing such a good chance to give his team the lead! Sučany took the lead 29 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. M. Chamaca was the scorer. Kirin's T. Kyckling refused to leave the field after injuring his achilles tendon after 33 minutes. Sučany's A. Torabi placed the ball right at his teammate's feet after a corner, but B. Kontuľ couldn't finish. The visitors' M. Lukácsi took advantage of a misunderstanding between the home side's goalie and centre backs 42 minutes into the match. 0 - 2 for Sučany. After 43 minutes, Sučany's B. Kontuľ burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 3. Kirin's B. Lamacchia was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 43 minutes. 0 - 3 was the halftime score. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Sučany, with 71 percent of the ball.

49 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 4 as A. Ezinger finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick. A. Ezinger of Sučany received a yellow card after 55 minutes for unsportsmanlike behaviour. Sučany increased their lead after 70 minutes when A. Torabi broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 5, much to the home crowd's dismay. At this point, it was obvious that the players of Sučany lowered the tempo and became more defensively oriented. B. Kontuľ increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 6. S. Riečanský of Sučany seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 0 - 7 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by O. Kladný. Kirin's talent at pressing frustrated the spectators as the game became a dire midfield struggle. The home crowd was not impressed when A. Ezinger came in from the right, shooting hard to score after 86 minutes. Sučany were now up 0 - 8. Sučany claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 73 percent.

Kirin's best player was J. Wirth. T. Kyckling on the other hand, had a terrible day. Sučany's top performer was clearly B. Kontuľ. B. Grošík was a disappointment, however. The match ends 0 - 8.
